RCIAHave you ever wondered how a person becomes a Catholic? Well here at St Clare of Assisi we conduct a process each year that allows Inquirers to attend classes once a week beginning in September to discern whether they feel that our Faith is calling them to begin to seriously consider the possibility of becoming a Catholic. The process is called the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. RCIA. We are a team of 6 to 8 parishioners who provide information based on the four pillars of the Church. The Creed, The Sacraments, Liturgy and Prayer. Our talks each week are focused on one aspect of our Faith. These talks are often presented by team members and on occasion we have guest speakers from the diocese who bring a wealth of knowledge about certain specialized topics. Over the past 8 or 9 years there have been 50 or more candidates who have become members of St Clare’s faith family and many of them you see each week as Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Ushers, Choir members, Prep Teachers and Bible Study facilitators.
